Clean & Plastic Free City

Youth Works Association is focussed on taking a holistic approach towards the development of its’ individual members as well as the city. We organised a plastic drive at one of the busiest place of Kanpur. One can find many Kanpurites enjoying hot Maggie at the Maggie Point near the scenic Ganga Bairaj but due to improper management of waste collection & disposal, a lot of waste ends up in the premises. There is also a huge dumping ground of waste across the road.

The members of YWA came forward to clean the area and educate the shopkeepers to maintain dustbins for proper collection of the waste. The members also stepped up in cleaning the plastic waste, collecting It in the bio-degradable bags and disposing them in a safe place. We handed over some dustbins to the shopkeepers. It was a successful event that left smiles on many faces.
